I’m happy to report that Drum & Bass is continuing to thrive in Salt Lake City this summer with V2 Presents bringing names like Grafix, Bensley, Justin Hawkes, and Kumarion, not to mention Mutiny Music Collective bringing through names like Hedex and Mozey recently as well. We’re just getting started as we head into the heat of the summer with even more of the hottest acts scheduled to be coming through our city. What better place to celebrate than on the SLC DNB stage at Das Energi Festival this August!

SLC DNB is back again with another stage takeover after the success of Get Lucky 2024, but this time they’re going bigger, Das Energi Festival big. August 10th will feature some amazing drum and bass acts at The Great Saltair including AEON:MODE (Blanke’s Drum & Bass alterego) b2b Kanine, Demitri Medina, Fred V, Fury + MC Dino, Gravas, and Harriet Jaxxon, along with locals JrDestrukt, and LA/NA.

ÆON:MODE B2B KANINE

Together for the first time to play a wild b2b, we will have ÆON:MODE and Kanine at Das Energi! Both acts have entered the DNB scene at full force and aren’t slowing down. After showing talent in other genres, producer Blanke decided to put a new project in the spotlight and ÆON:MODE was born! Kanine and his modern sound were voted Best Newcomer in the 2019 Drum & Bass Arena Awards. He continues to be one of the most consistent and reliable producers in the scene! Together, these two are sure to play a set that will be one of the highlights of this year’s Das Energi Festival!

DEMETRI MEDINA (DNB DJ SET)

Demetri Medina is a man of many talents with a background in many genres and styles of music, including being one of the members of the music group Gravas. Demitri’s solo act spans multiple genres such as DNB, hardstyle, dubstep, house, and trap, showcasing his many skills in music production. At Das Energi, we’re getting a special DNB DJ set from Demitri that is sure to be full of innovative drum & bass tracks and mixes! Don’t miss the high energy performance from Dimitri Medina on the SLC DNB stage takeover!

FRED V

Fred V is a drum & bass artist that I’ve been waiting to see and now he’s coming to Das Energi Festival. After seeing major success as the duo Fred V & Grafix, the two decided to part ways and focus on solo music. Fred V has continued to thrive in the DNB scene with tracks that elevate his trademark euphoria and melodic movements. He just released an album at the end of June that is full of the beautiful dnb tracks that blend with electronica and melodies that will get you ecstatic for his set here!

FURY + MC DINO

One of the biggest pushers for the DNB scene in the United States is Fury. Since the late 90s and early 00’s, Denver-based Fury has been promoting and pushing for DNB hard in the States. If you missed his set with MC Dino at Basscase earlier this year, now’s your chance to redeem yourself because these two create a performance that will have the whole room grooving. A whole article could be written on Fury and his influence alone, so just know that you won’t want to miss this legendary set.

GRAVAS (DNB DJ SET)

Gravas is a music group comprising of Fransis Derelle, CRaymak, Frank Zummo and Demitri Medina that had their debut live performance at Get Freaky 2023. Now they’re back to play a massive DNB DJ set this summer at Das Energi! Fransis Derelle recently debuted his new drum & bass side project, afterxheaven, with the fresh track ‘autopilot’. Proving all members of Gravas have a knack for every thing drum & bass. Combining all their knowledge and skill, this DNB DJ set is building up to be one of the highlight moments of the SLC DNB takeover!

HARRIET JAXXON

DJing and mixing is a skill and Harriet Jaxxon is truly a master. Growing up in the UK, Harriet started mixing when she was young. She started in the rave scene handing out flyers and sneaking into shows. Showing mastery in skills of technical precision and an ability to read any kind of crowd, a Harriet Jaxxon set is an almost tailored experience that you get to be a part of when you’re there. Drum & Bass is a lifestyle when it comes to Harriet and her craft, so get ready to see one of the best at work at Das Energi!

JRDESTRUKT & LA/NA

The local DNB scene in SLC is also thriving and we’ve got two local acts that are ready to show the city they mean business. You may have caught them playing shows around the city recently, but show up early to the festival and catch them playing Salt Lake City’s biggest summer festival!

SLC DNB has put together a lineup for this stage takeover that will make it hard to leave the stage to catch other acts at Das Energi, but when the heat is this good, where’s the problem with that? Catch me spending most of my time at the drum & bass stage, decked out in my new SLC DNB merch, so come say hey!
